As promised, I am VERY excited to introduce our newest Pack Member!
I received a call last week from a couple in need of care for their dog. As it would turn out, it was one of my favorite breeds, a #Labrador! Eager to learn more, Tobyās dad began chatting with me about their adventures in #Yosemite together and the fact he too was a former #Marine.
At that moment, I knew this was the #universe delivering me a very special #dog to care for that I had to meet!
Prior to our meet and greet, he also shared that Toby was 11 years old and had recently been diagnosed with #diabetes. Toby would require a rather complex regimen of meds along with daily #insulin.
At first I was a little overwhelmed by the level of responsibility, but that ALL CHANGED the moment I met Toby. šā¤ļøšā¤ļøšā¤ļøšā¤ļøš
One look at his happy wagging tail and soulful eyes, I immediately melted and knew I wanted to be a part of his daily routine with LOTS of love and affection.
Needless to say, Toby and his owner are the best of friends and their journey together so far has been a special one.
Iām grateful I get to be a part of that journey and care for this lovable guy!
Today was our first day together and it involved, LOTS of belly rubs and hugs, a short walk and admiring him as he slurped down his diabetic āstewā LOL
